  • Go Beyond the “About Us”: Explore recent news, social media (LinkedIn especially), annual reports, and employee reviews (e.g., Glassdoor) to understand company culture, values, and current challenges.

  • Deconstruct the Job Description: Identify keywords, essential duties, and implied needs. Understand how your skills directly address their requirements

For behavioral questions (“Tell me about a time when…”), use the Situation, Task, Action, Result framework to articulate your experiences concisely and impactfully. Have 3-5 strong stories ready that highlight problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and technical skills.

“Tell me about yourself,” “Why are you interested in this role/company?”, “What are your strengths/weaknesses?”, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” Rehearse your answers to be confident and concise.

Show genuine interest and curiosity. Ask about team dynamics, company culture, immediate challenges of the role, or professional development opportunities. (e.g., “What are the hidden success metrics for this role?”, “How does this role directly influence business goals over the next 6-12 months?”)

  • Dress Appropriately: Overdress slightly if unsure. Professional attire always leaves a better first impression.

  • Body Language: Maintain eye contact, offer a firm handshake (if in-person), sit upright, and avoid fidgeting. Smile!

Ensure a stable internet connection, functional webcam and audio, a quiet environment, and a professional background. Have a backup plan.
